Decie Merwin

American (I think!) author and illustrator. She wrote a few children's books, some of which she illustrated herself. She illustrated many books by other authors as well as her own. Wrote a couple of traditional type pony stories, one set in England. She was married to fellow author Jack Bechdolt and the pair collaborated on a number of children's stories, in particular the 'Dulcie' series, of which one included a donkey.

Holiday Summer is an easy book to find in the UK and not too hard to get hold of in the USA either. It is usually fairly low cost. It is harder to find under its original title. The other two books are hard to find, especially outside the USA.
